Meet the Coaches

Ryan Gros
Head Baseball Coach

Coach Gros is entering his third year at Lovejoy High School as the Head Baseball Coach. He has coached high school baseball for 6 years at McKinney High School. He spent his first 5 years as an assistant coach (2015 – 2020) coaching both football and baseball and took over as the Head Baseball Coach of the Lions for the 2021 Season. Ryan has spent his summers coaching baseball for the Dallas Patriots and for D-Bat Elite, both of which he played for throughout high school.

Ryan is a 2010 graduate of Highland Park High School where he played baseball for 4 years and served as Senior Captain for the Scots under Fred Oliver in 2010.  Following high school, he continued his education and played baseball at Panola Junior College in Carthage, TX for one year (2011), followed by three years at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith (2012 – 2014). He stayed on at UAFS as a Student Assistant Coach (2015) to finish up his education and graduated from UAFS in the spring of 2015 with a Bachelors of Math Education. 

 

Coach Gros has been married to his wife Reagan for 6 years and has 3 daughters: Remi (3), Addi (2) and Gracie (1). 

Coach Reynolds is entering his seventh year in coaching and second year at Lovejoy High School. Before coming to Lovejoy, Coach Reynolds spent four years at Dripping Springs High School where he also served as the Varsity Assistant and Pitching Coach. His first year in education was teaching and coaching in Hays CISD at Chapa Middle School. Coach Reynolds also serves as a linebackers coach on the Leopard football staff.

Coach Reynolds is originally from West Monroe, LA where he lettered 2 years in both football and baseball at West Monroe High School. In baseball, he was a two-time All-District Selection and a 1st Team All Northeast Louisiana selection as a junior. After graduating from West Monroe, Caleb went to Hill College on a baseball scholarship where he spent a year before finishing his Secondary Education degree at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Coach Reynolds has been married to his beautiful wife Katelyn for 6 years. They have a 3 year-old son named Anders, and a baby girl on the way.

John Fee
Assistant Baseball Coach

Coach Fee is in his 5th year coaching Baseball and Football at Lovejoy High School. In the Fall,  he is responsible for the Varsity Outside Linebackers/Kickers/Punters and Coordinating the JV defense. In the Spring Coach Fee works with the Baseball Team focusing on the Varsity Outfielders and heading up the JV Black Team.

He graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in History minoring in Education.

Coach Fee started off his life living on a farm in Bowie, TX with his grandparents. He moved around until he found his home in Saginaw, TX playing for the Rough Riders. He was an All-District Football and Basketball Player as well as an All-District Long Jumper. Coach Fee was selected for 1st Team All-State Academic 2 years in a row. He then traveled up to Sherman to play Football for the Kangaroos where he was All-Conference Academic Team. Coach Fee Spent 2 years Coaching football for the Roos before making his way to Lovejoy. 

 

John and his wife Summer have been together for 12 years and live with their sons, J.W., Waylon, and their three dogs in Melissa.

This will be Coach Cannon’s 3rd year in Lovejoy ISD entering his 9th year in teaching/coaching. Matt spent his first year at Sache High School where he coached Volleyball and Softball, then spent 5 years at Berkner High School where he coached Football, Track, and Softball.

Coach Cannon is a 2011 Graduate of Berkner High school where he was a 3 Year Varsity Football player and 2 Year Varsity Baseball player. After high school he attended Oklahoma State University where he obtained a degree in Secondary Education and a minor in Physics.

 

Matt is delighted to be married to his wife Brooke, and this July welcomed their first child Troy to the family.

Matt Cannon
Assistant Baseball Coach

Mason Leech 
Assistant Baseball Coach

Coach Leech is entering his 10th year teaching and coaching high school baseball. He spent 5 years at North Forney High School as an assistant coach, 1 year at Frisco Memorial High School as an assistant coach, 1 year at McKinney High School, and 2 years as the Head Baseball Coach at McKinney High School. 

Mason is a 2009 graduate of Garland High School where he played Varsity baseball for four years and served as a Team Captain for his Junior and Senior seasons. Following high school he continued his education and baseball career at Austin College. Mason was a four year starter for the Roos, receiving All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, remained at Austin College and graduated again in 2014 with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. 

Coach Leech has been married since 2017 to his wife Tiffany and has 2 daughters: McKenna (4) and Maylee (3), and 1 son: Tyler (1).
